Selected by Natalie Diaz for publication in “Best New Poets” anthology

Best New Poets by Meridian literary magazine

I am so stunned and humbled and absolutely thrilled to announce that my poem, "Futures," was selected by one of my favorite poets, Natalie Diaz, to be published in Best New Poets

I want to extend my sincerest thanks to Natalie Diaz, to series editor Jeb Livingood, and to the contest readers for believing in my work. I've probably been submitting to this contest since I was about 12 years old. Being published in this anthology, which selects 50 poems a year from emerging writers, has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember.

I'll be reading at the Literary Happy Hour at Capitol Cider on Oct. 31, so please come say hi! I'll read mostly ghostly poems, since one of my manuscripts is full of them, and since, ya know, Oct. 31.
