Poems in Cimarron Review & The Bombay Gin

I'm so thrilled to share that two wonderful publications, Cimarron Review and The Bombay Gin, have accepted some of my poems for publication.

Cimarron Review will publish a poem titled "Stepmother," a story told in the third person based on my research around the life of artist Abbott Handerson Thayer and his second wife, Emmeline. The poem will appear in the journal's anniversary issue later this fall.

The Bombay Gin has accepted a poem from my book-length novel in verse, a story about sisters who believe they can see ghosts. It's the first poem I've had published from the series, so I'm particularly excited for this, since so many of the poems are tightly interwoven with each other, and not all of them make sense standing alone. This poem will be published in issue #44, in Spring 2018.

It's been a wonderful month for publication news, and I'm so grateful for all those editors and readers who believe in my work.
