WRECKS wins the Florida Book Award after multi-city tour

My debut poetry collection, Wrecks (Noemi Press, 2025), has won the 2026 Florida Book Award.

It’s an incredibly exciting and validating recognition of this book after a whirlwind several months of touring and reading across the country, including an official book launch in Seattle in October 2025 among so many of my dearest friends and most beloved writers. I also had the honor of reading at two of my local bookstores, Book & Bottle and Tombolo Books, in St. Petersburg, Florida.

My wonderful publishers, Noemi Press, shared the news at their booth at AWP 2026 in Baltimore. I also had the chance to do three readings and a panel at AWP alongside such brilliant poets as Abi Pollokoff, James Ciano, Daemond Arrindell, Serena Chopra, and Rob Arnold.

Finally, Wrecks received a lovely review by Erin Edinger in Iron Horse Review.

It’s been a beautiful and surreal experience to celebrate the launch of Wrecks, and feel the support and excitement of others who seem to have really connected with the book. Thank you to all my readers and fellow writers.
