This is a (belated) update to celebrate that in June 2017, I graduated from both of my master's programs, receiving an MFA in Creative Writing (Poetry) and an MA in Hispanic Studies from the University of Washington.

After completing two critical theses and a 120-page creative thesis, turning them all in within a two-month period, I'm taking a much-needed break (with lots of work thrown in, of course) and traveling around Europe (Naples, Rome, Catalunya, Aragon, Valencia) before joining up with my students tomorrow for the University of Washington's "Food & Culture in the Hispanic World" study abroad program in San Sebastián, Spain. This is my second year teaching a literature and film class with the program, and I'm proud to say that I will be Co-Director of the program this year.
